The Circle Chair 01 is part of Foundations of a Home, our ongoing study of the essential objects that build a home. Combining two of the simplest geometric forms—a cube and a circle—it explores how reduction can create both familiarity and character.

The Circle Chair 01 is part of Foundations of a Home, our ongoing study of the essential objects that build a home. Combining two of the simplest geometric forms—a cube and a circle—it explores how reduction can create both familiarity and character.

  • Before we called it design, we called it play.

    Long before we understood furniture, we arranged simple shapes into little worlds of our own. Cubes became seats, circles became faces, windows or doors. We discovered that the simplest forms could hold endless possibilities.

    The Circle Chair 01 builds on that instinct. By bringing together two elementary shapes, it reduces the idea of a chair to its most essential expression—familiar, playful and quietly sculptural.

  • Crafted in Germany by specialist workshops, the Circle Chair 01 is made from lacquered MDF with a matte or high-gloss finish.

    Its smooth surfaces and carefully softened edges emphasise the purity of its geometry while reflecting light in subtle ways throughout the day. Every chair is made to order and finished with careful attention to proportion, craftsmanship and durability.

  • The Circle Chair 01 is designed as both a functional seat and a sculptural presence within the home. Its reduced geometry allows it to move naturally between dining spaces, bedrooms and quiet corners, adapting as the home around it evolves.

    Clean with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the lacquered finish.

  • Every Circle Chair 01 is made to order by specialist workshops in Germany. Production typically takes 6–8 weeks before dispatch.

    Each chair is carefully packaged and shipped through a specialist furniture carrier to ensure it arrives safely.
