Before we called it design, we called it play.
We built chairs from boxes, tables from books and little worlds from whatever was close at hand. Long before we understood furniture, we instinctively discovered that simple forms could become almost anything.
The Block Chair continues that instinct. Built from a small number of intersecting planes, it reduces the chair to its essential structure, creating a piece that feels equally architectural, playful and quietly familiar.

Crafted in Germany by specialist workshops, the Block Chair is available in two material expressions.
The lacquered version is made from high-quality MDF and finished by hand in a family-run workshop. Multiple layers of lacquer are carefully applied and polished to create a smooth, reflective surface that emphasises the clarity of its construction.
Alternatively, the chair is available in solid Grey Travertine, crafted by a family-owned German masonry. Every piece is individually cut and finished, celebrating the natural character of the stone. Subtle variations in veining, texture and tone ensure each chair is one of a kind.
Every Block Chair is made to order with careful attention to craftsmanship, proportion and longevity.

Designed to become part of everyday life, the Block Chair moves naturally between dining spaces, bedrooms, reading corners and workspaces. Its simple construction allows it to integrate quietly into different interiors while maintaining a strong sculptural presence.
Clean with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the lacquered finish.

Every Block Chair is made to order by specialist workshops in Germany. Production typically takes 6–8 weeks before dispatch.
Each chair is carefully packaged and shipped through a specialist furniture carrier to ensure it arrives safely.
